Iceland´s capital, Reykjavik, is a vibrant city that offers visitors a diverse variety of interesting activities.

For the cultural buff there are a number of museums and art galleries that include the National Museum, with its excellent Viking section, two museums respectively housing the works of Iceland´s most famous sculptors, Ásmundur Sveinsson and Einar Jónsson, Höfði House where presidents Reagan and Gorbachev held their historic summit meeting in 1986, and the jewel in the crown of Icelandic architecture, Harpa Concert Hall.

For those wanting a little more outdoor physical activity, we could drive to the Gróta lighthouse and stroll along the beach, visit the Árbær Outdoor Folk Museum, with its collection of old houses, or explore the city´s impressive Botanical Garden.

A visit to Iceland´s largest church with its stunning architectural design and a statue of Leif the Lucky just outside the entrance is always very popular.
